About Us

Fathia Guled

Since coming to Australia more than 10 years ago, Fathia has taught and tutored many students from places all over Melbourne. Specialising in Arabic and Somali, she loves teaching her students in an efficient but still fun way. She grew up in a Somali family living in the United Arab Emirates and holds a degree in teaching and sociology from Damascus University. She is passionate about being a mother and enjoys good Indian or African food and likes reading, horse riding, walking and helping people.

Dr Myra

Dr Myra, grew up in Kenya and is a native Swahili speaker.  She is a not only a qualified doctor but has a teaching degree in Swahili as well.

Ahmed Almazry

Ahmed migrated to Australia from Cairo, Egypt. He studied at Al-Azhar Al Sharief in Cairo for 20 years. He also has a certificate in pharmacy. He taught Arabic in Egypt to both Arabic and non Arabic students. He teaches Arabic and the Quran.

Nadia Abdi

Nadia came to Australia from Kuwait more than 10 years ago. She studied Medicine in Syria and is an experienced teacher. She strongly supports her community, and is actively involved with Womens Support Groups. Nadia is a mother of four who enjoys experiencing foods from all cultures. She teaches both Arabic and Classical Arabic.

Muchiri Kabiaru

Muchiri is our senior lecturer and a native Swahili speaker from Kenya. He has been in Australia for 4 years. Prior to coming to Australia he taught Swahili in Kenya to local and non native speakers. He is a father of three children, and loves to play golf in his spare time.

Michiri is also a Swahili translator/interpreter.
